Paola Tarigo
She is Professor of Tax Law at the University of Genoa, in Italy.
Graduated in Economics from the University of Genoa, cum laude and “dignità di stampa”, she received for the thesis in tax law the premium “Dott. Carlo Manzoni” by the University L. Bocconi in Milan.
She obtained the degree of Chartered Accountant in the early eighties and in the meantime founded the Firm.
She received in 1989 the Doctoral degree (doctorate) in International and Comparative Tax Law and in 1995 the degree of university Researcher in Tax Law.
She is registered in the Italian Register of Auditors since 1992.
She partecipated in the working group of the Italian National Commission for accounting principles with regard to “Accounting for income taxes” principle and became Italian delegate in the International Accounting Standards Committee, within the Joint International Committee, for deferred taxation (1997).
She completed her studies in the field of international taxation in Amsterdam at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD).
In addition to teaching in masters and postgraduate courses in various tax issues, also at foreign universities, she has been responsible for several scientific initiatives, promoting and organizing high qualified conferences and seminars in tax matters.
Her career includes many prestigious and long-term assignments, with a primary customers (quoted companies, multinationals enterprises, rilevant public entities other than corporate), without, moreover, never losing interest in small-business.
She is author of 3 monographs, essays and several articles published in the most prestigious Italian tax reviews and journals, mainly in the field of national and international taxation of enterprises.
Paola Tarigo performs her profession as Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor working mainly in taxation of the enterprise and business combinations, in corporate law and economic valuation/accounting related matters, in international taxation, in taxation of rilevant “non commercial” entities, private and public. In theese areas she acquired an extensive and long-lasting experience.
